Georgetown Railroad Station
This beautifuly landscaped railroad station is located at 140 Layton Avenue. It hosts The Delaware SeaSide Railroad Club's Model Train Layouts. This is definately a sight to see.
You can stop in and see the Model Train Layouts, which include the Historic Marx Layout and the Georgetown Elementary School Project Layout the following Satyrdays:
September 8 &22; October 6 & 20. The hours are 10-2 and the admission is free.

The above is a partial photograph of a train layout which was created by the fourth and fifth graders of North Georegetown Elementary School during an after school program with the Delaware Seaside Railroad Club in the Spring of 2007. The children on the playground are animated along with many other items. All involved in this project did an excellent job!
The Marx Layout


The Historic Marx Layout is one of the Delaware SeaSide RailRoad Club's pride & Joy. This 1958 Marx store display which was featured in the Seaford, Delaware Montgomery Ward Store. The SeaSide Railroad Club purchased it from an old home in Clarksville, DE which was about to be demolished. The display was found in the home in it original shipping carton. This was definatly a worthy rescue and an unforgetable piece of history.
